Caravan World’s signature Best Aussie Vans event, presented by CZONE | BLA was held in October at one of Gippsland’s favourite holiday spots, Inverloch, providing an opportunity for participating vans to compete for the title of ‘Best Aussie Van’ within their respective categories.
This year, Caravan World assembled an expert judging team with years of industry experience, including Ron and Viv Moon, Malcolm Street, Matt Williams and the newly appointed Caravan World Editor-at-Large, John Ford. The judges poured over the caravans, assessing them against a set of criteria from towability to built quality to value for money.
New Age Caravans sent our Manta Ray 22ft Bunk Ensuite Model, a family layout packed the brim with features including: Cruisemaster suspension, external shower, inline water filter, a lithium battery, reverse camera and much more.

The judging team is chosen to reflect a wide range of industry-centric skill sets — from retired electricians to outback survival experts and longtime caravan owners — experience plays a big part. Independent assessment of all qualified entrants during the testing and review component of Best Aussie Vans is a critical aspect of the event.
